Led team of over 1200 personnel conducting Independent Foreclosure Review of a major mortgage servicer. Created infrastructure (reporting, methodology, human resources, etc.,) to efficiently and effectively manage large project team after stepping into the role in the middle of the project.
Took over as Acting SVP, Internal Audit with oversight of International Card and Travel Operations, Finance and other Staff Functions for American Express to rebuild morale in a team of 55 auditors. Within six months, brought all employee survey dimensions into top 10% of the company from previous survey in which a third of the dimensions were in bottom third of company.
Led merger integration of two divisions of a regulated for-profit educational company. Merger completed in less than half the projected time.
Replaced Senior Vice President of Audit with oversight of Technology for American Express. Department was in a crisis with poor relations with Banking regulators, internal clients and staff. Within four months, had improved relationships with regulators such that Internal Audit was rated as Satisfactory on the Regulatory Exam and credibility on audits had been substantially increased.
Appointed to stabilize and rebuild Mitchell Madison Chicago office after departure of previous Managing Partner and subsequent loss of over 75% of the office. Recruited three new partners and increased consulting staff by 300% in less than six months while creating best morale in the firm.
Merged Mitchell Madison, US Web/CKS and Whitman Hart strategy groups in Chicago and took matrix responsibility for over 500 strategy people in individual offices across the Midwest for marchFIRST.
