FOUNDER
Mr. Abraham founded the Abraham Group in 2001 after he departed his position as Executive Partner of marchFIRST's Central Strategy Group. He has extensive experience in telecommunications, financial services, technology, marketing and large-scale transformation.
His experiences include
- Led financial evaluation of a major technology outsourcing contract for a global financial services provider. Negotiations with the outsourcing provider led to savings greater than $1 billion over the seven-year period.
- Led project team implementing Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 Internal Control Compliance for a global company with multiple product lines. He led a 50 person internal team in bringing the company into compliance with the new regulations on an accelerated basis.
- Led restructuring of the Network Operations and Procurement at a leading telecommunications provider. Activities included cost analysis on technical construction as well as aggressive sourcing in network commodities. Project achieved annual savings of over $60 million.
- Created an Internet acquisition strategy for a Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) that led to the creation of an acquisition and servicing web site integrated into the clients back-end provisioning systems. Site provides client the ability to rapidly increase their customer base without a corresponding increase in their operations and customer service staff.
- Transformation of a national retailer aimed at capturing the opportunity inherent in relationship marketing to a household. Realigned service delivery, product design, analytic infrastructure and organizational skills to meet aggressive target of doubling income over four years.
- Development of retail distribution strategy for major money center bank which enabled the bank to restructure its delivery cost and realign its branch resources against its most profitable customers while using sophisticated database marketing techniques to target less profitable customers.
Prior to founding his own firm, Mr. Abraham was Managing Partner for marchFIRST strategy, a partner in the Mitchell Madison Group strategy consulting practice, and a Director of New Ventures Marketing for Ameritech Small Business Services. Earlier, he held a variety of line management positions at Raytheon and in the US Navy Submarine Service. Mr. Abraham was educated at The Johns Hopkins University where he earned a BA in Physics and has completed graduate study in Nuclear Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He completed his MBA at Columbia University in Marketing and Management of Information, Communications and Media.
